The RRPP Annual Conference entitled "Social, Political and Economic Change in the Western Balkans" will take place this year in Sarajevo, Bosnia & Herzegovina on 24 -27 May 2012. The objectives of the conference are three-fold:
- To provide opportunities for researchers handling the region to present and discuss their research projects and papers, as well as to create networking opportunities and an environment supporting exchange of ideas with the intention of fostering further cooperation within the region and beyond;
- To improve international publishing opportunities for researchers from and dealing with the region (a special workshop on "academic writing and publishing" shall be offered as part of the conference);
- To discuss the current political situation in the region-this year will emphasize the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
