Regional workshop “Quality Development in VET – from Check to Act”
KulturKontakt Austria in cooperation with ERI SEE and its Cluster on VET is organising the regional workshop on “Quality Development in VET – from Check to Act”.
Quality Development has been identified as one of the priorities for cooperation by the Cluster on VET, co-ordinated by Romania, as well as by the South East Europe Regional Vocational Education and Training Network (SEEVET-Net), established under the ERI SEE umbrella. As quality development is also one of the priorities of VET development in Austria, this event will provide the opportunity to exchange the experience within the SEEVET-Net and the Austrian education policy makers and practitioners.
While the first half of the workshop will focus on the use of data gathered in self-evaluation processes, the second half of the workshop will focus on the role of research in the step from “check to act” – for policy makers, but also practitioners. In this context the workshop will provide the opportunity to look at possible synergies/common areas of interest with the Cluster of Evidence Based Policy Making co-ordinated by Serbia.
The cluster on Modernizing VET system is envisaging to organize a number of expert meetings and to develop mechanisms and instruments in order to implement, at a school level, a quality culture and to allow an increasing attractiveness of VET as a training pathway, which ensures equal opportunities for students and the skills which are needed on the existing and future labour market. The cluster shall play a crucial role in implementing Europe 2020 with its key flagship initiatives that embrace education and training (Youth on the Move and The Agenda New Skills and Jobs) under the TFBHC and ERI SEE support.
